Reboot The Suit

You know me. I love aviation and by default SPACE!!!

So,  I think this kickstarter.com project to restore and preserve Neil Armstrong's space suit is a great campaign.
It afford us, the common American, to get involved and help protect a vital piece of national heritage and historical significance.

If you're like me and just the mere sight of rockets, space shuttles and space suits sends your mind traveling into orbit; then I hope you'll get involved and be part of this endeavor.

Glam-Rock and Vettes

Every once in a while, two or three of the things I love the most, come together. On this occasion, Vettes, Rock&Roll and America kinda get rolled in together.

Paul Stanley of KISS talks about his love for American cars and the beauty of the new Vettes.
I love hearing things like these. Gives a bit of internal fuel and confirmation that I'm not the only only one who cares for the same things.  Rock on and enjoy your Vette Paul!

Good News of the Day

It has been a really long time since I've been here and actually put something down on a page.
Many, many things has happened since my last time. It seems that the news is overwhelmingly saturated with the bad stuff, the stuff that sells.

Well, I think that for my own sanity and to boost my faith and belief  in people, I've decided to start including the "GOOD" stuff. The stuff that sometimes gets buried or hidden away in the mountains of media.

After all, it seems that it is more important to know what the hell Kim or Bruce are doing with their pathetic lives than an actual feel good story.

Anyway, here's the story (or link to) of a person who deserves some attention and some good fortune. Cheers to you Mr. James Robertson!!!

F-35 Lighting

Well, this is another first in Naval Aviation.

The US Navy just landed their new 5th gen. fighter on board an iconic aircraft carrier.

History was made aboard the USS Nimitz on November 3/14 off the coast of  San Diego, marking a key milestone for the U.S. Navy and naval aviation in general.

Great news and an awesome new fighter! ...I still miss the F-14 Tomcats.

Beautiful Courage

Beauty was lost today, but a life was saved.
I'm talking about Angelina Jolie's tough decision to undergo a double mastectomy. That must have been a heart wrenching and emotional odessy. I can't imagine for one second having to make that choice but in the end she chosed life.

My dearest aunt also made that choice, it was too late for her. She succumbed to that insidious disease, that takes away from millions of women of their womanhood and often their lives.
Why does it have to be like that?

I know, "everything that can be done, its being done..." Well, it doesn't seem to be enough. We are in the age of every day wizardry . Why can we attack that dreadful killer with all of our ingenious might and eradicate it once and for all?
Why is it taking millions and millions of dollars and still no cure?
I wish I knew.

But I intend to do my level best to contribute to the elimination of that cancer and to preserve the glorious beauty of breasts. I don't want to see my friends or family members suffer physically or emotionally. I love breasts and love women. I want them to be around forever.

Qbella

http://www.qbella.com/index.html
Qbella.com
Lots of crazy, welcome and unwelcome stuff has happened since last I posted few months ago. But, now things seem to be somewhat stable again... ssshhh...don't jinx it!

Qbella.com is back online once again. Yeah, it is better and bigger than before. I have to thank the new platform for the easy-ness of transition. I like the old look quite a bit, but since it was hard coded, it was a pain to update. Specially some of the images. Now, it is breeze!

I'm hoping that the new SEO will kick in and start producing results. I'm excited to be able to do something great with the site. Not only because of the obvious reasons but actually put out some helpful information.

As I mentioned somewhere in an earlier post; this is one of the 3 things that feeds my passion and gives me reason to get up and lose myself in the computer.

I hope everyone will enjoy it a bit better. It still needs some work. But as with any great endeavor, it is a work in progress.

Come and join me, send some of your images and let's Qbella.com on the map!

Alabama Again!

Well, it has been a little while since I was here last. But it looks like good things has happened. One of them is of course the greatest, football team on the land. Alabama Crimson Tide!

Yeah, they won ... again!
It is fantastic what these guys have done. Specially Nick Saban. I have to handed to him. He never smiles but, man he can definitely win championships.

I have to admit. I was lookig forward for a closer contest, but when I got into it, I was hoping we would have gotten to 49. But, it was good to see that Notre Dame made it to the Bowl. I do like the Irish.

Anyway, big belated congratulations to The Crimson Tide!

Breast Cancer Ad

This is a great and pointed TV advertisement from the news.scotsman.com that aired on Sept 5th in Scotland.

The TV ad reads "Elaine C Smith fronts 'shock' cancer campaign". The ad also says that it is a "World's First", because the actress Actress Elaine C. Smith who lost her mother to breast cancer promoted this bold and refreshing campaign.

Wow, finally someone (organization) who wasn't afraid to "offend" the fragile sensitivities of a segment of the population.

This is a £30 million Scottish Government effort to increase the number of early cancer detection in that country.

Scotland's Health Secretary  Nicola Sturgeon said that the promotion was intended to be “hard-hitting” to ensure the health message was heard. “This is ground-breaking and hard-hitting.

I'm glad that organizations and governments such as these, are taking bold steps to prevent and cure this mortal decease.

Kudos to Scotland!

Topless Day in America

Crap. It looks like I missed it again!

Well, actually I didn't. It is just that we do NOT have an event here in Utah.

The well intentioned guys and gals at gotopless.org were kind enough to organized for the 5th time in their history, an International Go-Topless event, to promote and educate folks about the rights women should have to go topless. I have to say that I do not subscribe to their Raelian Movement but it took someone like that to bring this up to the light.

Geez, anyone who have read my previous posts should know how I feel about this subject. I believe with all my being that women should and ought to have that "RIGHT". Now, whether they should do it, it is up to them to decide.

I love my female friends because they are great; They add a different dimension to my life and outlook. Not all of them of course feel the same way, but none the less; that doesn't mean that they shouldn't have that right.

There's a great line in the movie ""The People vs. Larry Flynt" (1996) that goes: "If someone has any complaints about human nudity, complain to the manufacturer..." How true is that?

I live in a very conservative environment, hell I'm very conservative, but that doesn't mean that I don't admire and appreciate what GOD has created. I know, criticism and guilt trips are on their way.

This issue to me it is nothing more than hypocrites and busy bodies having something else to get offended by. Nothing more.

Some people would argue that the children will be affected. HOW?!?! If you actually teach the children correctly, there's nothing to raise hell about.
How is it, that the female breast are "evil" , "dirty" and shouldn't be exposed? How is it that something so beautiful that sustained life for the first few years even, became foul and disgusting?

Granted, there are plenty of situations and occasions where that beauty has been miss-used and abused. But then again so it also has religion. The breasts all by themselves are the most wholesome, beautiful and productive organs a human possesses. Once again, how is that EVIL!?

Tribes around the World thru Millennia have survive and thrived, without having to demonized their females for their God given breasts.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" it is said; I believe that evil and malice its also in the mind of the beholder, and how that person chooses to act on it that counts.

I love breasts. More power to you all wonderful people!

Thank you Neil for everything you'd done, not only for the whole World but for me.
You literally inspired me to dream and to think beyond my anchored place on this Earth.

I may not be able to physically reach the stars, but my mind and imagination can!

You inflated my chest every time I was abroad and I saw a picture of the first man on the Moon; an American!

How incredible is that?

How magical and how tremendous to think that someone who I sharde this country with, have done that!

Neil, your amazing, tempered and unassuming personality will always be something to emulate.

To you Neil I say, Thank you, and I hope that your Spirit is exploring every single nautical mile of the Universe. Fly On, Fly High...

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

It has certainty been quite a while since my last post. I supposed it has to do with the many "challenges" I have encounter in the last few months.
Whew, where do I begin?

Everyone in America seems to be coasting trough a rough patch nowadays. I'm not going to sit here and blame the "economy", but I will point my finger to those who we have entrusted to look after the well being of the Nation. They are the ones who have failed miserably in their duties; but they alone aren't at fault. We the people, who elected these ill adept individuals must bare a large portion of the blame.

Yup, you and me baby!
Well, mostly you. Yeah, you who haven't got a clue as to what America or being an American really means. You who will gladly sell out your birth right for a vague promise of "green" paradise and you; the one who would also sell the assests of the Nation for a greedy, quick buck and status on your driveway. Disgrace!

I guess, if you are not aware that you lack certain basic principles, then is your teachers and ultimately your parents who must bare the brunt of the blame.

America I believe is starting to wake up, to stir up to a new reality and a new way to see itself.
Forever will I be ashamed of those who love to badmouth this country without really understanding the "Spirit" it posses. I'm not talking spirituality here, yeah, I know, there's always someone who will get out his/hers way to get offended. I'm talking about the inert Spirit that permeates every single square mile of this land.

As a well traveled individual, I have always been pleasantly amazed at the feeling I get, when I return home. When my feet touch the ground of this country, there's always an unspoken gratitude.

The other factors for me taking such a leave of absence from this blog, is my new found knowledge of a health issue. Yeah, everyone has something or other. But since it is mine I feel special.

I've been working on getting in a better frame of mind and body.
I tell you, the 3 miles everyday seems to be actually doing something good. If nothing else, I got to know the neighborhood pretty damn well. Specially the public bathrooms!

Drinking water like Charlie Sheen drinks booze tends to create a schedule event almost every hour!!!!!
I just wish water came packaged in breasts. Which leads me to my next topic.

Breasts as we all know and love, well if you aren't ashamed to admit it, are in trouble. Yup that damn cancer.
We have got to do more to eradicate that malign condition.
Someone very dear once pointed out that in this society, we have money for Trees, Rocks, Cow Farts, Union paid vacations, and every conceivable scheme people came conjure up. But, no money for titties. Unless they are at the bar.

We have got be more proactive and "tolerant" of breasts in our society. Yeah that's right. I'm still baffle by the retrograde view of breasts in our country. Breasts if you haven't paid attention are the givers of L I F E!
What is so "evil" and "dirty" about them!?

I haven't been keeping up with news and research on cures and best practices lately. That's also part of my struggle. I have been in a funk. A severe one.

I started this blog to find solace and enjoy the 3 things which I love. Aviation/America, Breasts and Corvettes.
But I have to fight to stay motivated and write about them.

I really dislike pity-parties but I understand their genesis.

I'm promising to myself to update the Qbella.com site, to find the models and information needed to continue.

On the Aviation side of things, it is damn depressing to hear that Cirrus Industries Inc., parent company of Cirrus Aircraft, has been sold to China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co.

Who would have thought it. China is buying out American Aviation!

This is the ORIGINAL happy meal!

Some boys never outgrow their liking for an original happy meal!

I don't know who or where is the source for this very cool creation; but it hits home. How true this is!

I sure love the packaging. :)

Thanks brother Karl for sending this.

Why do they hate America?

Since I'm an American living in America, perhaps it is easier to get lost in the many wonderful things this nation has to offer. Choices and options.

I know that there are many things I myself take for granted; such as Freedom to go to whatever Church I wish, gather with whatever groups of people I wish to, listen to and watch whatever I wish to, read and write whatever I want to - This blog case in point - and become whatever my heart desires. And to do all of these things in peace and in the open. Without having to fear some storm trooper's questions as I go about my life.

This nation is like a golden well of wishes. Here, you can fall into a bucket of shit and come up smelling like roses, if you doubt that just look at the life of any half witted celeb. Anna Nicole Smith comes to mind. RIP.
The point is, that it doesn't matter what your feeble mind tells you about yourself, if you want it, there are ways to make it happen in America.

I get to read sometimes the America haters in Youtube, and other social sites. They love to spew their hate for the country who feeds them, cloth them and provide the very means for them to express their hate. I find it astonishing how retrograde and myopic their comments and perceptions are. To me, it clearly illustrates their ignorance and total lack of knowledge of America at any level.

I believe I understand a bit better why some people hate America.

They hate it because they don't understand it, they hate it because they fear it; they fear America because it threatens their lack of respect for others and their social status. America also exposes their weaknesses and vulnerability. America shines so bright in the constellation of nations that envy drives their feelings. America points out their basic need for power, control and domination. America makes them feel inadequate and small. Instead of emulating what America has done, they choose the lazy and easy way.... hate.

Me, I breath this country from sun up to sun down. Every part of it, and I thrive on it.

At the moment there is a foul smell in the air; but I believe the people will finally wake up from the social panacea or bill of goods they were sold and will start to feel invigorated and push through the fog of self-importance, entitlement, lack of responsibility and apathy that some politicians love to manifest.

I know that this nation is slated for greatness and abundance. It is blatantly apparent unless you're mentally deficient, lack any senses or a hater of freedom and peace.

There is quote that says "What you find offensive makes you weak". I invite those with open hearts and clear minds to really see America for what it is. A gift to the world from our Creator. Anyone who wants to contribute and belong is welcome!

When I started this blog, I wanted to stay away from political issues. It is hard to talk about America without touching on some of those political margins. I choose to focus my attention on the wonders of this land.

Here's another quote that sums up clearly, some of sentiments for the country that I love-

So, then, to every man his chance -- to every man, regardless of his birth, his shining golden opportunity -- to every man his right to live, to work, to be himself, to become whatever his manhood and his vision can combine to make him -- this, seeker, is the promise of America.

One step closer

What's on my mind today. Humm. Socialism!

Today I read that Sonia Sotomayor will be confirmed to be the Supreme court's first Hispanic, third woman and 111th justice. Somehow, perhaps in another Era or even another Universe, would be a time for celebration. This time around isn't.

It is hard to stay out of the political arena and try and not to make comments, but when the wrongs are patently clear I can't help it.

There is a famous picture of a bunch of Lemmings happily leaping off the World's edge into a precipice. For some reason, I see the same picture being played out for real some sectors of our society. These amoeba like single brain cell organisms, are marching to beat of the State controlled media and they love it!

They are gladly handing away their rights as free citizens, just to conform to the "popular" view; that some other 'single-cells' decided was the prescription to follow.

Sotomayor is nothing more than an ideologue with a robe. A woman who not only does not care for the written constitutional law, but one who openly makes fun of the law. (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_071409/content/01125108.guest.html)

At the moment it appears that a few in the country's leadership have hijacked the consciousness fo the 'single-cells' and are hell-bent in taking this nation to Socialism. We are one step closer now, Sotomayor's confirmation. What a shame.

Who the hell cares is this woman is Hispanic or not. That is racist at the highest.
Why the hell are the socialists so enamored with the idea of putting the entire American way of life in the hands of a Hispanic!?

We were warned by Nikita Khrushchev himself, that "the United States could never be conquered from the outside, but from the inside". That seems to be happening right now.

Yup, one step closer to socialism.

I still have some faith in the American people who haven't spoken yet. Those who are frustrated, and feel that they have been betrayed; not only by clowns like Pelosi, Obama, Kennedy, Reid, Clinton etc., but by those who you thought; may have had the best interest of the Nation in hand like McCain, Hatch, Bush and of course turncoats like Arlen Specter. What an asshole.

Perhaps, it is the time of the cleansing. Perhaps the nation just like the planet, knows how to expose and get rid of its own waste. I sure hope so.

I supposed the pendulum will be coming back from it's left oriented swing to the right of the spectrum again. I only hope that in the mean time, the country will survive the chaos in between.

The Moon

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

40 years ago an American astronaut first said those words from the surface of the MOON!

Lots of people are talking about the Moon; at least those who still care and those who remember it. I do.
So, I guess it is almost impossible for me to ignore this day in history. July, 20 1969

I remember in the evening hours; a festive atmosphere around my house. I was in my comfy chair or whatever it was at the time, maybe the brand new bean-bag in the middle of the floor. I was still wearing those footed pj's, had a great big bowl of cereal just like grandma used to prepared and ready to watch something important on Tv. An American was getting ready to walk on the Moon!

The commotion around the tv set and many people in the living room, everyone excited about this Moon thing going on. I only remember my grandma smiling and my aunt telling me to pay attention to the screen. It seems funny but I can't remember if the images were Black and White or the tv was.

It is hard to think back to those early days of childhood and somehow put in perspective what was going on. A man; two men, two Americans were walking on the biggest, brightest thing in the sky.
Back then, it was the beginning of Science Fiction turn reality for me. My imagination flew alongside Neil and Buzz inside that capsule. I was on the Moon too.

From that moment on, everything was possible. The Moon, Mars, the Stars and beyond. Star Trek became validated and I knew that when I grew up; flying cars, buildings in the clouds and Moonbases were all going be a reality!
Well, what a disappointment.

But it wasn't because of lack of vision from people like Neil, Buzz, Lovell and the countless other souls yearning to forward civilization to the Stars. Sadly, it was due to people who had no vision, no imagination, no childhood dreams. Only greed for power and political ambitions who halted the Spirit of space exploration.

Perhaps, this anniversary may ignite the fire in some kids imagination, to bypass the naysayers and march proudly to the stars. Perhaps someday, some intrepid soul will have the bulge to plant the American flag again in some distant celestial body.

In the mean time, I'm glad to actually re live the original transmission from that July-20 of '69 and finally hear it the way it was. The History channel is putting on a show called Moonshot
it is worth the watch. I think there's quite a bit of artistic license taken, but what the hell.

Here's to you Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. and Michael Collins... and other heroes in potentia.

Aviation - Pet Airways!

Wow, wow, woof! Yeap, it is true. Pooches and Kitties can now fly the friendly skies in comfort and just like their owners. The first of it's kind Pet Airways came to be on Thursday, July 9, in Omaha, Nebraska 2009. Airborne pets was possible by started by husband-and-wife Alysa Binder and Dan Wiesel.

That's cool. No longer treated like luggage in the cargo area, these lucky 'dogs' will finally get a chance to travel in style. Yeah, the airline retooled the cabin and lined it with carriers instead of seats.

Hell I just thought of something. Snakes are pets too, huh? Snakes on the plane...? Nah.

It's a dog's life I suppose.

Kudos Dan and Alysa.
