Beauty was lost today, but a life was saved.
I'm talking about Angelina Jolie's tough decision to undergo a double mastectomy. That must have been a heart wrenching and emotional odessy. I can't imagine for one second having to make that choice but in the end she chosed life.
My dearest aunt also made that choice, it was too late for her. She succumbed to that insidious disease, that takes away from millions of women of their womanhood and often their lives.
Why does it have to be like that?
I know, "everything that can be done, its being done..." Well, it doesn't seem to be enough. We are in the age of every day wizardry . Why can we attack that dreadful killer with all of our ingenious might and eradicate it once and for all?
Why is it taking millions and millions of dollars and still no cure?
I wish I knew.
But I intend to do my level best to contribute to the elimination of that cancer and to preserve the glorious beauty of breasts. I don't want to see my friends or family members suffer physically or emotionally. I love breasts and love women. I want them to be around forever.
